High quality humic acids are created within the soil through decomposition of organic materials such as trees and plants. It consists of mainly carbon and oxygen and also contains lesser amounts of nitrogen. The difference between humified carbon and new carbon
Humified Carbon
Humified carbon, as found in all High-Test Ag products, undergoes a natural, geophysical, geochemical and biochemical process over long periods of time. These steps are required to create high quality Humic or Fulvic Acid, which delivers the agronomic benefits Humates are known for.
New Carbon
New carbon humic consists of making Humic and Fulvic acids from straw, wood pulp and compost. This type of carbon lacks the benefits of thousands of years of development and carbon cycling. According to research, the percentage of Humic and Fulvic Acids found in compost (New Carbon) is 2 and 5 percent respectively.
